It’s difficult to pinpoint what makes a great workplace. Things like modern facilities and flexible schedules are important, but a truly genuine office culture can only be measured by the voices of the people who work there.
For the second consecutive year, the voice of SECURA associates was heard, as Great Place to Work and Fortune named our company among the Best Small and Medium Workplaces of 2017. Based on anonymous surveys, the award is a direct reflection of how our associates feel about SECURA.
“It means a great deal to be recognized as a ‘Great Place to Work’ because it captures the intangible qualities that make our company a great place for employees to invest in themselves and their talents,” said Garth Wicinsky, Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. “We strive to be a company where people want to be, and surveys like this show that we’re hitting the mark.”
Surveys from 74,000 employees at hundreds of businesses were collected in this annual evaluation. Our company earned a spot on this list based on associates’ assessments of the camaraderie, leadership, fairness, rewards, and career opportunities. We ranked 73rd in the “Best Small and Medium Workplaces” category.
While the intangible part of our culture is what makes our offices unique, associates have access to things like a fitness center, café, summer hours, and onsite health and wellness professionals. Associates also have an array of benefits, which include profit sharing and 401(k) contribution.
With a recent feature on the “World’s Greatest!” cable series showcasing our workplace culture, our offices continues to earn recognition for the truly special places they are.
This is the second consecutive year we’ve earned this recognition, and as we continue to grow and evolve as a company, we look to make our culture and community even stronger.
